Travel + meet smart

Safety tips.

Greety verifies every host through a six-layer trust stack — but verification confirms identity, not chemistry, character, or chemistry. The rest is on you. Here’s how to stay sharp.

Before the meet

Set yourself up well.

Read the whole profile

Look at every photo, every review, every vibe tag. Verified hosts wear a green checkmark — that means we’ve confirmed identity, not personality. Your job is the personality fit.

Talk on Greety, not WhatsApp

Anyone asking you to move to WhatsApp, Telegram, or LINE before you meet is breaking our rules. Conversations on Greety are auto-scanned for safety; off-platform ones aren’t. Report and move on.

Pay through Greety

Always. Money sits in escrow until both sides mark complete. Anyone asking you to send via PayPal Friends, Wise, or crypto outside the platform is running a scam. No exceptions.

Tell someone you trust

Share your meet details with a friend or family member — name, location, time. Greety has a built-in “safety trip” that auto-pings a contact 30 minutes after a meet should have ended.

During the meet

Stay aware.

Meet in public first

Coffee shop, hotel lobby, busy street. Even for premium evening meets, start somewhere with people around. Most hosts will suggest this themselves.

Trust your gut

If something feels off — the host doesn’t look like their photos, you’re being pressured to move locations, drinks taste strange — leave. You forfeit the points; you keep your safety.

Watch your drink

Order it yourself, watch it being made, never leave it unattended. Drink-spiking happens in every city and Greety is no exception.

Keep your phone charged

Greety’s in-app safety panic button works only with battery. Carry a small power bank for meets longer than 3 hours.

After the meet

Close the loop.

Mark the meet complete

Both sides have to confirm before points release. If you mark complete and the host doesn’t (or vice versa), the dispute system kicks in after 24 hours.

Leave a real review

Honest, specific, and respectful. Reviews are how the next traveler stays safe. Negative experiences get reviewed too — vague “just OK” reviews help nobody.

Report anything off-policy

If the host crossed a line during the meet, file a report. Reports are confidential and reviewed within 24 hours. The host never sees who flagged them.

Scams to recognise

If you hear any of these, report and disengage.

  • × “Pay outside Greety and I’ll give you a discount.”
  • × “My profile is being verified, can you send a small payment to confirm?”
  • × “I’ll send you crypto first, then you transfer it back.”
  • × “Click this link to claim your booking discount.”
  • × “The platform is broken, message me on Telegram instead.”

Greety will never ask for payment outside the platform, never ask for your password, and never DM you from a personal account. All Greety communications come from the in-app inbox or a verified @greety.online address.
