How points work
Buy. Lock. Release.
01
Buy in tiers.
Each tier carries a small loyalty bonus. The largest tier earns 8% above cash equivalent. Pay in USD, EUR, GBP, SGD, AUD, JPY, or any major card.
02
Lock at confirmation.
When a host confirms your meet/stay/sit, the relevant points move from your wallet to escrow. Cancellable up to 24h before for a full refund.
03
Release together.
Both parties mark the engagement complete. Points release to the host. Reviews unlock. The trust score on both sides ticks up.
Tiers
Buy what you'll spend, plus a little.
Each tier earns a small bonus. Bigger tiers, better rate. Refund any time, points never expire.
Asked enough we wrote answers
Points, clearly.
Why points instead of cash?+
Three reasons. (1) Cards drift in price as FX moves between booking and the meet — points lock the price the day you buy. (2) Hosts in Hanoi, Manila, Bangkok all price in the same unit, no conversion friction. (3) Points held in escrow + on-platform chat removes most categories of dispute.
What's a point worth?+
$0.10 USD. We don't move the rate. Buying in larger tiers earns a small bonus (the largest tier is 8% off cash equivalent).
Do points expire?+
No. Bring them on the next trip. Account-deletion does refund unspent points pro-rata to the original payment method.
How does the escrow actually work?+
When a meet, stay, sit, or au-pair month is confirmed, the relevant points lock from your wallet — not yet sent to the host. They release when both parties mark the engagement complete. Disputed cases go to our 24/7 safety line and are adjudicated within 48 hours.
Can I cash out?+
Hosts can cash out points monthly to a bank account or e-wallet. Guests can request a refund of unused points to the original payment method anytime. Refunds clear within 5 business days.
What about the Greety fee?+
We charge 6% on the host side, embedded in the displayed point price. Au pair placements are flat-fee 6% on the first month only — no recurring drag.
