Copyright + DMCA policy.

Last updated: 2026-05-05. Greety honors valid takedown notices under the US DMCA, the EU Copyright Directive, and Thailand’s Computer Crime Act.

If your work is on Greety without permission

File a takedown notice and we’ll review within 48 hours. Confirmed infringements are removed and the uploader is warned (first offense), suspended (second offense), or permanently banned (third offense or commercial-scale infringement).

What a valid takedown notice contains

To be actionable under DMCA §512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (typed full name is fine).
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work — link, registration number, or sample.
  3. Identification of the infringing material — direct Greety URL (e.g. https://greety.online/hosts/example/) and a description of which photo/video/text is yours.
  4. Your contact information — name, email, phone, postal address.
  5. A statement, made in good faith, that the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright holder or authorised to act on their behalf.

Where to send it

Email your notice to dmca@greety.online with subject line “DMCA Notice — [your name]”.

Postal address (for jurisdictions that require it):

Greety Pte. Ltd.
Attn: DMCA Agent
1 Marina Boulevard #20-01
Singapore 018989

Counter-notices

If your content was taken down and you believe the takedown was mistaken or fraudulent, you may file a counter-notice. Email dmca@greety.online with:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the removed material and its prior URL.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error.
  4. Your name, address, phone, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, for non-US users, the courts of Singapore).

Greety forwards counter-notices to the original complainant. If they don’t file a court action within 10 business days, we restore the content.

Repeat-infringer policy

Greety operates a three-strike policy. The first valid takedown against an account triggers a soft warning, the second a 30-day suspension, the third a permanent ban with payouts forfeited to the affected rightsholder where legally possible.

Bad-faith notices

Filing a knowingly false DMCA notice carries legal liability under DMCA §512(f). Greety reports patterns of bad-faith notices to the relevant authority and reserves the right to ban the filer’s email and IP from the takedown channel.

If your photos appear on a fake Greety profile

Use the in-app Report button — that’s the fastest path. Or file a complaint via our complaints procedure. You don’t need to file a formal DMCA notice for stolen profile photos — the report channel handles those within 48 hours.
