Disclaimer + content policy.

Greety is an aggregator

Greety is a platform that connects travelers with verified locals across Southeast Asia. We do not produce the content that appears on host profiles.Profile photos, bios, listings, messages, and any other media on the platform are uploaded and published by individual users — “hosts” or “guests” — under their own accounts.

The views, opinions, claims, and offerings expressed in user profiles and posts are those of the individual user, not Greety, its team, its investors, or its affiliates. Inclusion on the platform is not an endorsement.

Verification, with limits

We run a six-layer trust theatre on every host before they go live — government-ID check, selfie liveness, two reference checks, a video interview, and an annual re-verification. Roughly half of applicants are turned away during the human-curator step.

That said: verification is not a guarantee. We confirm a host is who they say they are; we cannot guarantee the accuracy of every claim they make on their profile, the quality of every meet, or the conduct of every conversation. Users meet at their own discretion and assess fit themselves.

Posted at user’s own risk

Users post content to Greety at their own risk and retain responsibility for ensuring their content is lawful, accurate, and consistent with our community guidelines. By uploading, users warrant they hold the rights to the content and grant Greety a limited license to display it on the platform.

Greety reserves the right to remove any content, suspend any account, and refer matters to law enforcement where appropriate. We do not pre-screen every post — we rely on user-side moderation, automated content scanning, and community reporting, in that order.

Community flagging + report

Every profile, listing, message, classified ad, and user-uploaded image carries a Reportbutton. If something breaches policy, click it. Reports are triaged within 24 hours by our trust & safety team; serious cases (illegal content, abuse, underage users, off-platform pressure) are actioned within hours and escalated to authorities where required by law.

We publish an annual transparency report (see /trust) summarising flag volume, action rates, and policy changes.

On-platform conduct

Users must keep conversations on the Greety platform until a meet is confirmed. Pushing contact off-platform — phone numbers, alternative apps, social handles — before a meet is flagged automatically and may result in account suspension. This rule exists for everyone’s safety and is part of how the escrow + dispute system works.

Money + escrow

Greety operates in points, not money. Points purchases are processed by a regulated payment provider and held by Greety in escrow until both parties confirm a meet. Refunds, disputes, and payouts are governed by the points policy. Failed disputes default to the guest in good faith; repeated dispute losses on the host side trigger account review.

No medical, legal, or financial advice

Hosts may share opinions about activities, food, neighbourhoods, insurance, or eSim products available through Greety. None of this is professional advice. For medical, legal, financial, insurance, or visa matters, consult a licensed professional.

Affiliate disclosures

Some Greety pages link to third-party providers (eSim cards, travel insurance, etc.). When you sign up via these links, Greety may receive an affiliate commission. This never changes the price you pay and never affects which providers we list — those choices are editorial.
